To maintain the predominance of European children publishing firms, a consumer-based digital strategy needs not to reverse but to make these trends work for the benefit of EU-based knowhow and artist creativity towards creating culturally adapted literary works of art and education. The Consortium envisions the stakeholders of the European e-book industry clustering the capabilities of their industry via a vertical author/illustrator-centric process of creation and consumer personalized demand matching.
The consortium will introduce “Q-Tales”, a Collaboration Ecosystem, specifically designed to serve the needs of the European Children e-book industry, where European Creative SMEs, Experts and Parents, co-create new or transform available Children Literature into high quality ebooks & Apps using innovative ICT solutions provided by European ICT SMEs along with a Curation Framework provided by European Academic experts in the field of Pedagogy, Children Psychology and evolutionary Psychology.
The Q-Tales platform will build on this potential by focusing on the following specific project objectives:
Q-Tales amplifies the aforementioned Innovative ICT Solutions with the introduction and employment of Gamification applied to:
- The management and operational features of the Q-Tales Collaboration Platform.
- The Content Collection, feeding the Q-Tales Ontologies.
- The production process of the Q-Tales e-books & apps through the Q-Tales Authoring Tool.
- The final products, i.e Q-Tales branded e-books and apps.
